If I was going to get married in Australia then this would be close to how I would have it.  TO me, it was perfect all the way through.  Everything was organised to perfection, which made everyone very relaxed, comfortable and happy.  The location was perfect – a executive retreat along the shore of Tinaroo Dam.  They married under a gum tree with the lake as the background.  The only difficulty was with my part – being right on the lake the light was extremely harsh, but we worked with it and the photos turned out awesome.  The ceremony was very personal and romantic.  I even had a tear in my eye at one stage.  They released butterflies, read poems and I don’t think I have met two famillies that work so well together.   Christina looked spectacular, her hair, makeup and dress all to perfection.  The reception was held on the deck with the sun setting on the horizon.  Strawberry cocktails, a personal chef and a wonderful atmosphere completed this amazing wedding.  Well done guys, I throughly enjoyed myself. xx

Monica and Benny were married at Monica’s parents property in Gordonvale by celebrant Barbie Anderson.  It was small ceremony set amongst the rainforest on the property with beautiful bouquets of flowers adorning the arch in which they were married under.  Monica’s dress evaded tradition and was scarlet red and white, the bridesmaids dressed in black and red and the flower girls in white and red.   We had the photo shoot at Pete’s Bridge in Goldsborough but was limited by the lighting conditions.  We had fun though with the cars, railway lines, canefields and fences.   Their reception was an outdoor affair also on the property.  The marquee was lit by chandliers and coloured spotlights and the refreshments were cooled in a tinny for all to enjoy.  It was visually spectacular when the sun went down.  I wish you both all the very best for the future and a lifetime of love.

Carlie and Darren were suppose to be married on the beach near the rocks at Palm Cove, North Queensland.  Much to Carlie n Darren’s disappointment, the rain came down and the wind came up leading to drastic changes for the ceremony.  After a few tears, Carlie realised the most important thing was that she was going to marry the love of her life and that is all that mattered so the ceremony was changed to a cute little deck behind the Rockford Palm Cove where their reception was to be held.  From that decision onwards everything flowed perfectly, the rain held off (just), and we were able to photograph at  the beach which made up for the ceremony.  The horse and carriage made everything so romantic and fun.  Darren and Carlie looked great together and Carlie’s quite, yet cheeky personality shone thru.  Her gorgeous shoes were also a highlight (although were a bit of a challenge in the sand until muscly Darren swept her off her feet!).  hahah  Under the circumstances, the photographs turned out exceptional and I think everyone was very happy.  I wish you both good luck with future family ideas and all the love and happiness a change in ship will bring.  xxx

Anthony n Christina’s Wedding

Anthony and Christina were married in their hometown of Tully, North Queensland.  The ceremony was held in the gardens of Anthony’s parents property with the reception held at the Country Club.  Anthony and Christina finally tied the knot witnessed by their 4 beautiful girls and amongst family and friends within a beautiful setting.  We then went to their property for our photo shoot (via a bus) where we took some great shots and had a good time.  Christina looked absolutely gorgeous, her dress accentuating her perfect figure.  The bridesmaids and the girls all looked great (even if they were 3 weeks from being due!).  The boys looked grand in their suits with cowboy hats, with Anthony’s cheeky smile shining thru.  Overall, the scenery combined with the people made for spectacular photos!  I was surrounded by lovely people in a glorious location, what more could I ask for!  I wish your whole family all the love and happiness this world can give.

Stephen n Rebecca’s Wedding

A very funky and original affair, full of love, friendship and family.  Rebecca looked gorgeous in a gown made by her Grandmother (truly talented)!  Her bridal party dresses were black and of a stunning cut that accentuated the bridal party and complimented her own.  The guys were dressed fashionably in black and white with a splash of red.  Everything flowed perfectly.  They were married at St Monica’s Cathedral and then the reception at Pulman’s Reef Casino.  We had great fun photographing on location with Stephen and Beck choosing the skatepark, graffiti and the wharf as locations of choice.  The photos turned out awesome as everyone was relaxed and having fun, it showed in my images.   I really had a great time which makes my life as a photographer very enjoyable.  Congratulations Bec and Steve.  I wish you ‘everything’ for the future and a lifetime of love.

Michael and Beckie’s engagement shoot

Beckie utilised this engagement shoot to make a coffee table guest book for the reception.  She did a great job putting it together and it came out really well.  Her guests were full of praise for her images and her guest book.  Well done.

Carlie & Darren’s engagement shoot

Carlie and Darren are getting married soon at Palm Cove.  Carlie wanted a canvas for guests to write on at the reception, so we had a photoshoot and I compiled a composition for their guest canvas.  Carlie loved it and can’t wait for it to be displayed.  They both are getting excited that their wedding is just around the corner.  It will be a great wedding to photograph.

Nicole and Robert were married at the Paradise Palms Resort, Kewarra Beach on the 20 June 2010 by celebrant Wayne Rees.  In our meetings prior to the wedding date, Robert and Nicole expressed that they wanted a fun, relaxed wedding and that their coffee table book showed them having fun.  This was great and made my life as a photographer clear and straightforward.  We photographed around Paradise Palms and they wanted to include the mini golf and the jumping trampoline with thier shots.  They turned out awesome, with Nicole adventurously clambering over the trampoline in her wedding dress!  I got some great expressions that will continue to bring them smiles in years to come.  The service of the resort was fanatastic and everything flowed smoothly.  Nicole and Robert had a wonderful evening filled with family, friends and great food.  Well done guys, you were champions!

Michael and Beckie were married at the Paradise Palms Resort, Kewarra Beach in a garden wedding by celebrant Jan Defferard.  Beckie had been planning this wedding for over two years and everything could not of gone more smoothly – well, there were a few hiccups ….. like one of the groomsmen not fitting into his suit!  Luckily, they discovered this with a couple hours to spare and the suit was changed.  A pair of jeans in Beckie’s long planned wedding could not of happen!  Beck was stunning!  Her dress emphamised her beautiful slim figure, the strapless bodice emphasing her shoulders.  The lace overlay soften the dress to a surreal style.  She had a simple bouquet of red roses that was striking in combination.  Beckie was perfect, the wedding was perfect!  The bridal party consisted of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen all inclined to have a bit of fun and it showed in the images.  We photographed at Paradise Palms and then went to Kewarra Beach for shots.  We got up to some seriously fun and adventurous shots  and everybody had a really good time.  It was a good finish to Beckie and Michael’s life in Cairns as they have moved now to Perth to be closer to family and having a complete and wonderful future together.  I wish you both all the very best, I hope that prosperity, love and good fortune stay with you for the rest of your lives.  Cheers

Tammy and John married at the St Claire’s Catholic Church in Tully on the 29 May 2010 with a simple, yet emotionally felt service.   John hates photographs, so it was challenging to engage him into the shots, but in the end he did well and we got some beautiful images that will last a lifetime – especially at the creek and up at their new house which overlooks Tully and surrounds. Tammy was easy to work with as she has stunning eyes, BEAUTIFUL SMILE and a captivating personality.   They had their reception at the Rainforest Roof in Mission Beach Resort, so we grabbed a couple of sunset shots on the beach before we went in.   It was an overcast day and the service was held late in the afternoon so I was pushed to photograph before I lost light, but we all did well and had fun.  I think John’s favourite shot is him carrying Tammy through the doorway of their house!  All in all, it was a great start to a glorious future and I hope Tammy gets her wish soon (she knows what I mean). love
